information on what led to the shooting offer a suspect in the case. investigators are looking for a suspect they say may be armed after getting a way earlier this morning in north philadelphia officers shot at the person as they ran after being questioned. it happened shortly before 1:00 a.m. in the 2400 block of 17th street. detectives say that the suspect was not hit. another shooting, in north philadelphia send two people to the hospital overnight. investigators say one man is lucky to be alive after a car he and another person was in was sprayed with bullets. steve keeley is live with the latest on this. steve? >> reporter: it sound like non-stop gun violence in this city since the weekend began and then tried to end but after 2:00 a.m. it continues as we we start the week. look at this car toyota camry now with daylight, look at that bullet hole. good thing nobody was on the other side of that windshield. the driver is already out of the hospital. so somebody shooting through the windshield and then look at the driver's side, a bullet

who will in the front panel. right under the driver's door hand that will went through the car door and bullet hole through the driver's side window. and, this guy just raised with one of those bullets and he did tell detectives that he saw a quote two boys, out on the streets with guns. he has no idea why they were firing the guns, he is trying to make it that he was not the target but police are high liz skeptical looking at this car because it looks like somebody was shooting at him from a few different and also with two different guns. so that would make him a target. he wasn't telling anything to detective that with make him appear to be the target. somebody standing out on the street hanging out in the middle of the night shot four times in the butt. that person not as lucky because they are still here and still in surgery and still hasn't been able to be talked to by detectives. now lets go to video and show you the driver. he was released less than an hour ago and he took his shirt and covered his head with it. he didn't want his identity known to anybody and didn't

want too tell us anything either. but, police are now going to get a search warrant and look inside this car. it is only a five minute drive from the shooting scene that we have video of from 11th and west styles which is right next to a philadelphia public school and a small little block off of girard avenue and one of the main intersections. they will see if there is anything in that car that would lead them believe dr. this guy may have been targeted but would you think if that guy had anything bad in that car he would have took time to toss it out in the five minute drive to hahnemann hospital. the moral of this story because other person got driven by a friend, probably who has a bloody car driving his friend with the four shots in the buttocks is know your closest hospital because if i was on the scene i would have took these follow fox temple thinking they handle gunshot wound. always know your closest hospital no matter what in life and that is little moral of the story we can pass on to our viewers.

leaving pottstown. burlington bristol bridge on the way set for 6:30 this morning. mike and alex, back over to you. 6:19. investigators believe same guy who held up a rite aide in haddonfield last week is responsible for switching brand and robbing a different drugstore chain this weekend. >> cvs. he hit three rite aides last week? there he is, just as he entered the cvs pharmacy on centre square road in woolwich township, last friday night. police say that this man carrying a box and armed with a crowbar took a female shopper hostage as he demanded all of the oxycodone in this store. cops say that the crook got the drugs and tried to escape by stealing the hostages car keys. >> pretty scary because i grew up in this town and just the fact that he held someone hostage or whatever it is pretty creepy in this small town.

>> suspect, swiped adderall pills, bottles from the store abe carjack a retired priest. that was last week. detectives have tied him to a similar incident at two south jersey right aids. well, 6:20. police after rested a man they say killed a new orleans police officers. three three-year old travis boys was arrested, yesterday and cops say they have nabbed him boarding a bus. he is a accused of shooting officer darryl holloway while being transported in the officer's cruiser on saturday. he was handcuffed because somehow he freed his hand, pulled a gun he a had hidden and shot the officer. the car crashed and the officer was killed. >> he was more than a great cop, he was a good man. he was a good father. our hearts break for him and his children on fathers day and i just want to say that this was really a despicable and cowardly act by a young man had lost his way many many, many times and was

thinking about himself and only himself. >> officer holloway was a 20 year veteran of the force boys is charged with first degree murder. well, two convicts from new york are still on the run and now, may be, very close to pennsylvania. they are looking for them in two different locations now. one near canadian border, other on our border of pennsylvania and new york. residents in small town of friend ship new york has reported seeing these two escaped killers from upstate new york prison, walk ago long railroad tracks over the weekend. the small town of friendship is right on the pennsylvania border with new york. two weeks ago david sweat and richard matt tunneled out of that upstate new york maximum security prison. so far authorities say latest sightings significant, but unconfirmed. >> we interviewed witnesses at length and determination was made that this investigation

schuylkill between city and belmont avenue. there is your speed meter reading for 95. with a lot of the kid out of school now we will see unusual changing traffic patterns over the next culpable of days. northbound on the new jersey turnpike an accident, at exit number four, which is route 73 and then coming back from the shore extra volume on both acx and 42 freeway heading in toward that 2925 construction zone. mike and alex, back to you. police tell us here, that a 21 year-old man was shot and killed in frankford overnight. detectives are working hard to find out exactly why the victim was shot in the 1700 block of scattergood street. at this point we have no further information on what led to this particular shooting. officers in north philadelphia said they have shot at a person being questioned after he just took off running. investigators are looking for that suspect this morning. they say that he may be armed. it happened shortly before 1:00 a.m. on the 17th street.

detectives say the suspect was not hit. developing right now, two people are recovering this morning after being shot, inside of a car being shot at inside a car in north philadelphia so the first three stories here in the bottom of the hour, all a shootings. >> all shootings. >> investigators say the driver, shot once, drove to the hospital, to get help. that is where steve is, standing right by his car. >> reporter: mike, all this violence just to start this week and how bad a weekend did it get in philadelphia? three guys shot and killed ten people wounded including a baby a and two kids at a block party. weekend of violence doesn't stop with the start of the week but it seems to justin. look at the scene here, this driver, of the toyota camry so fortunate that these people were not better shots but they weren't too bad but they hit this car four times bullet through you windshield, one in the front panel, one under the door handle on the driver's door and other one through the driver's side window.

despite income that driver's seat which looks on target, this guy got a grazed wound n fact we can show you video of the guy because he is here at the hospital just before 3:00 a.m. and out just after 5:00 a.m. and probably just still saying wow, and told detectives that he was driving in the area of 11th and girard, right at west styles, right where this happens to be a philadelphia public school. he said he saw two boys out on the streets with guns shooting. the guy worst hurt was guy standing around hanging out with his friend after 2:00 a.m. and took four bullets to the buttocks. he was still in surgery and could in the help detectives tell them anything. detectives in the meantime are getting a search wart for his car to see what, if anything is still inside of the car. the guy drove his sem here which is a four minute drive to happen man's emergency

room. he was shot four times in the butt. he had a friend drive him here to the same hospital and again, a quick, jaunt over to the hahnemann emergency room prevent that had guy from being hurt any worse because i'm's sure he was bleeding badly even though he was just shot in the butt. that type of violence continues here on monday, fortunately, since this no other violence but one thing in common with the shootings over weekend and violence we have talk about lot of it happening between those hours of like two and 4:00 a.m. which is really a time that a lot of people are not sleeping in this city but doing some bad stuff. >> yeah, i mean, boy we made national news over the week went that shooting at the block party. ten people hit. >> a couple of them were children. >> i know, kids. >> the interim pastor from the emmanuel ame church in charleston, south carolina said most of the shooting victims will be buried this week. >> services resumed sunday for the first time since the attack.
